As part of our family weekend Binondo tour, a visit to Eng Bee Tin, the famous hopia and tikoy store who with its success has purple fire trucks in its name. These fire trucks are donation to the community that was a witness to their over ninety years of existence. From the time the business was starting to its present stature of success.

Located in Ongpin, you will never miss their purple signage and a mass of people going in and out of their stores at any time of the day. The name Eng Bee Tin is synonymous to freshness and excellent products in their line. Famous for their Ube Hopia (Purple Yam flavored bean-filled pastry), they did not stop in this successful flavor but continued to innovate and go with the changing demands of their customers. Now, they also have hopia with Splenda for the diabetics and ready to eat tikoy (glutinous rice) aside from the classic tikoy that needs to be fried.

Resting in its famous spot beside Binondo Church, this hopia factory has grown to a Chinese deli that is known not just in the Philippines but has high demands in other countries as well.

Trivia: Did you know that Ube Hopia flavor was not their original recipe but it was only in the recent decades that it was discovered? A proof to Eng Bee Tin’s hard work to deliver quality products. See more from their website   http://www.engbeetin.com

lol a couple of of the reviews bloggers make are a bit spacey, again and again i question if they in actual fact read the content articles and reports before placing a comment or if perhaps they just read over the subject of the post and jot down only the first thought that pops into their brain. nonetheless, it is actually nice to look over keen commentary every now and then rather than the same exact, outdated post vomit that i continually discover on the web i’m off to enjoy a smattering of rounds of facebook poker so long
