California Pizza Kitchen: An Extention Of Our Dining Room

In our homes where having a family meal where not only table space matters (that is why our parents, or we, for that matter, invest in big dining tables) but also a room for us to talk and animate our stories, branches of California Pizza Kitchen aka CPK offers a dining place away from home.

If you need good food for weekend family treats, there’s a lot that Metro Manila can offer. But this place doesn’t boast of good food alone but also “the space” that a family needs. For kids who cannot stay in place, the space is big enough not to disturb other diners. This is not our first time in CPK, in fact, I can’t remember how many times we’ve been to this branch.

People can talk at normal voice levels. I can remember one time in a different place when there is this group of diners talking about some stressful work-related topics and I can’t help but hear them. Besides, if I lean back a little further, my head will touch the other person behind me. I was there to relax for the weekend, for Pete’s sake. Then all I am hearing are annoying stories of their boss.

Well, not in CPK, you get to enjoy the food and the ambiance. Even Julia had fun without me worrying if she is annoying other diners. The sun coming through the glasses makes the place cheerful and seem to ‘extend’ the view to the outside of Edsa Shangri la Plaza. The service is great. Food is worth the bucks, big servings. We were six people (and ½ , counting Julia who ate my piece of the pizza… not to mention big chunks of ravioli) and we were full to the brim even if we only took half servings of some items in the menu.

Now, I am torn… I have another dining place in this mall that is amongst my favorite… Nah, I can always add a good one to my list. Last words… it is worth coming back.

Hi jencc, I agree on the ravioli. Not much restos offer them here. About the cheesecake, the receipt said it was a NY cheesecake hehe… I remembered order for a NY Cheesecake… Well, if the order that came in was wrong, it definitely is a good welcome treat still. :-) Thanks for visiting My Life Joys!
