One saturday morning, our family went for a trip to Silang, Cavite in search for Ilog Maria Honeybee Farms. We originally planned to go to Bohol Bee Farm but because of conflicting schedules, the trip to Silang is more than welcome. It is so rare that we get to a far place from home together these days.

Driving to South Luzon having a clear destination of where we want to go, although unsure of where it is exactly hehe, we found this pristine nature that is a home to a lot of honey bees.
We went there primarily for their honey products – soaps, royal jelly hair oil, honey cider vinegar, aroma theraphy products, and a lot more.

These soaps were hand-made in small batches. The production area is just below the store where ladies mix ingredients from an old recipe that is said to have moisturizing, softening, healing, deep cleansing, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial effect to the skin. They even have deodorizing pet soap.
Among my favorites are the Lip Balm (bcoz I seldom wear lipstick) and Propolis Ointment (for skin irritation and infections, allergies, insect bites, rashes, skin irritations, fungal infections, swollen and infected wounds. For the reason that when I am in a place with mosquitoes, I am the first one bitten. While my skin is already tortured with bites, people around me doesn’t even notice there are mosquitoes. Me and my sister Jean share the same ‘attraction’ to those blood sucking insects.
Aside from this store in Silang, Cavite… some of their products are also available in Echo Store, Kape Isla, Serendra, Bonifacio Global City. Ilog Maria also have an online store.

This is a great family get-away spot. My kids will have a blast here.
just wanna share to you our experience at the bee farm.. its really unpleasant. i hope you would consider before going back again! our friends went there to buy soaps, shampoo, oils, throat spray, etc just last week, after going there we just had lunch before checking in a hotel in tagaytay also, roughly 1 hour only went by, upon reaching the hotel and checking in, all our soaps melted!!! but we decided not to go back that day since we are dead tired, we went back upon checking out and show the owners what happened to the soap, hoping a little consideration on their part as entreprenuers, the WIFE just shrug just off and told her husband to handle this issue daw, kesyo the product went out okay in good condition so wala naman daw silang kasalanan, and what the husband did? just texting all the time we were there and said “so, dont you know that yesterday was the hottest day in manila” excuse me po wala naman kami sa manila nasa tagaytay kami all day. and may sinabi ba sila natutunaw ang sabon nila!!!!
this is sad… i think i still have some soaps that had been bought for quite some time now and they’re still okay.
really sad for madam… i’ve been stacking up their soaps coz they are really my favorite and fortunately they are all in good form–even the honey glycerin facial soap and the feminine wash–which to me, look soft. i love all their products and luckily we can go to their farm every month since we are in the Cavite area.
