Mom and I hit the road and went to Robinsons Movieworld in Galleria to catch the latest J.Lo starrer, The Back-Up Plan. Obviously a romantic comedy (romcom) movie, my expectations were not that much. It was just to relax, laugh some, and enjoy. The movie is about an independent lady, Zoe, who wanted to have a child when she though there will be no Mr. Right in her life anymore. As fate would have it, she met him right after being pregnant from an artificial insemination procedure.
As for the whole story, I’m not narrating that in this post, see the film and judge for yourself if you like it, for me, I enjoyed it and it was worth the one hours and forty-five minutes of screen time.
J.Lo looks good as usual and it’s amazing for such a beauty to be doing a role with comedy of errors – eating a a mouthful of bread with sauce all over her face, getting in a dumpster, and other hilarious antics.
It’s kind of stupid when people comment on how “shallow” rom-coms are. Oh well, they may not be that deep, but they still have good story lines for people, like me, who just wants to just relax and see a movie.
While waiting for the screening time, we decided to have a bite at the nearby Burger King fast food. I ordered for onion rings, which is not available with the competitor burger joints, plus BK Coffee. It was good and much cheaper at Php 65 a cup than those in the nearby coffee shop.
Coming Soon: The much awaited Iron Man 2, will be hitting the theaters on April 30, 2010. I will definitely hit the movie house again to catch the part two of a Robert Downey, Jr. starrer as Tony Stark/Iron Man.
