As part of our family weekend Binondo tour, a visit to Eng Bee Tin, the famous hopia and tikoy store who with its success has purple fire trucks in its name. These fire trucks are donation to the community that was a witness to their over ninety years of existence. From the time the business was starting to its present stature of success.

     Located in Ongpin, you will never miss their purple signage and a mass of people going in and out of their stores at any time of the day. The name Eng Bee Tin is synonymous to freshness and excellent products in their line. Famous for their Ube Hopia (Purple Yam flavored bean-filled pastry), they did not stop in this successful flavor but continued to innovate and go with the changing demands of their customers. Now, they also have hopia with Splenda for the diabetics and ready to eat tikoy (glutinous rice) aside from the classic tikoy that needs to be fried.
