The Network for Enterprising Women (NEW)

is hosting the 2nd Annual Women Entrepreneurs Conference

from 8:00am to 12:30pm on February 7, 2009 (Saturday)

at the Asian Institute of Management Conference Center (Benavidez cor. Trasierra Streets, Legaspi Village, Makati City).

Get inspired at this informative, fun half-day conference, with concurrent sessions for existing women entrepreneurs, business owners and those wanting to start a business. It will also showcase our members’ different businesses as well as introduce other business ideas. This conference is also open for non-members of our organization.

This conference aims to be a venue for facilitating opportunities for trade and development between existing and aspiring entrepreneurs, business oriented organizations and the potential market. Through this project, NEW, hopes to promote the values of social responsibility, youth collaboration and leadership.

The conference aims to give women and small and medium-business owners the tools to start or grow their businesses. It will include topics on: building your business foundation, financial planning and funding, marketing/selling to get results, legal aspects of managing your business, and finding the right networking group.

There will be business counseling and networking opportunities at the event. A talk on entrepreneurship will be given by Prof. Jay Bernardo of the Asian Institute of Management.
He will share his experiences as an entrepreneur, a manager, and an educator to illustrate how the spirit of entrepreneurship can be imbibed by anyone who is willing to look at things from a different perspective.
