Event: Island Cove Adventure I

On March 8, 2009, in Events, Travel, by mylifejoys

Summer is here and there is no better way to welcome the season than our version of Amazing Race in Binakayan, Cavite.  With friends and bloggers, we were invited to Detour: Island Cove Adventure.  It is my first time in Island Cove and I’d say I was impressed with the diverse offerings that they have for the whole family.

I say diverse because they cater to the interests from fishing, singing, outdoor fun such as swimming (with slides!), and  paintball.  Kids and kids once will also enjoy and learn about nature in the butterfly farm and zoo featuring crocodiles, about 35 monkeys, ostriches, cassowary, lions, deer, and a lot more.  I suggest, you see for yourself, hehe.

For people who like the night life, they also have Patron where BBZ is served. Yes, Beer Below Zero. Island Cove so far is the only establishment in Cavite that serves BBZ.

Even before there was Makati and Ortigas Business Districts, Binondo or Chinatown was the business center in Manila. Located along the Pasig River, this place was the center of commerce even before the Spanish regime.

With Friends

When I tend to be workaholic for sometime and then no work needs much attention, I suddenly think of cleaning. Cleaning emails, paper files, computer files, backups, and a lot more… and it happens, looking at the pictures that had long been stored in my local drive.  It gives a feeling of comfort to bring those joyful moments on travels, events, and just happy days when we feel like posing for the camera.

I suddenly remembered my travels and most of all my friends… too bad some where not able to join this summer trip.

In this particular post I will be sharing the adventure we had in Puerto Galera a year ago. With some of my friends Doc, Pol, Mama Cecil, Di, Ate Mye, and my Tita Vista we went to Bamboo Beach House in Talipanan, Puerto Galera where (you wouldn’t believe it) we paid only Php 1,000 for an overnight stay inclusive of 4 meals – lunch, dinner, breakfast, and another lunch. It was supposed to be 900 for 3 full meals but we requested to have an extra lunch as our ferry schedule was 2 PM.
