See Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) immerse into the world of her best friend, Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner), who starts to develop into a werewolf while Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) is in deep with choosing the path to take for his love for Bella.

Stephenie Meyer’s talent in creating characters, different worlds, twists and turns will surely captivate the Twilighters in the movie version of New Moon.  This second book/movie  in the Twilight Saga.

True, Kristen was very lovable as Bella Swan in Twilight but how would someone take away the character from the personality when she accidentally dropped her popcorn award! :)

It may have just “Twilight” but it has already eclipsed all the others in the 2009 MTV Movie Awards when it brought home a lot of golden popcorns for:

Best Movie, Twilight

Best Female Performance, Kristen Stewart

Breakthrough Performance, Robert Pattinson

Best Kiss, Robert Pattinson and Cam Gigandet

2009 MTV Movie Winners

One of my fave moments was when Jim Carey was accepting his Best Comedic Performance award. It was hilarious.

This event will surely make a good prelude to New Moon, which is the second book in the Twilight saga.

Kirsten Stewart who played Bell Swan in Twilight, a movie from Stephenie Meyer’s best selling book of the same title has just gotten (and then dropped, literally) her popcorn trophy after receiving the Best Female Performance in 2009 MTV Movie Awards.

Robert Pattinson was briefly shown while laughing at the accident. The two are now filming New Moon, the second book in the Twilight Saga.

Okay, you may say I’m biased by saying I love the movie.  Just say it coz I do love Twilight The Movie.  Let’s just say that I cannot make it tonight if I will not see the movie so I went to see the last full show.

It may not be as detailed as the book version but then let’s just admit that aside from the loyalty to the written version, the screenplay catched the most important parts. The essence of what Stephenie Meyer had worked hard has been very present in the movie. The lines, the description. Even the Cullen’s house are as I imagined it to be.

I had a difficulty separating my all-knowing-twilight mind from watching the movie but at least I got to a point to not expect what will happen next and just relax to see the movie.  The only thing I hated about the situation was that a movioe lasts for more than an hour and there are a lot that I want to see more.  Twilight book has a lot of twists that cannot be shrink fitted into a movie. This could even be better as a TV series I guess. Why not, right.

When we left the cinema, Edward and Bella became the new loveteam to beat. Let’s say they are the new Lois and Clark (Superman) or Beauty and the Beast (except that the beast here is so gorgeous).  This movie will, no doubt, launch new hollywood A-lists from actors Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen) and Kristen Stewart (Bella Swan). I’ll not be surprised to see then have their own names in the celebrity page of People.

The pair reminded me of Edward Scissohands from way back as portrayed by Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder. Not that I am comparing, it just occurred to me that way while I was leaving the cinema.

The film has ended with subtle tone that there is more to come. Let’s see if there is a part two. The challenge is how they keep the cast, specially the vampires, at the same age.

So there, I’ll be able to get some good night’s sleep and think tomorrow on when I can see the movie again, yeah another round :)

Good night!

Movie: Twilight Showing on 11/26

I have read the whole Twilight Saga – Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn, in 6 days. Giving a lot of effort to finish my chores and work ASAP, I had to read the books. After finishing book one, Twilight, I cannot stop myself reading the rest. I felt that I just had to know what happens to Bella and Edward.

The last I have been so eager doing this was during the release of Harry Potter.

Bella and Edward, the main characters in this saga, are just the way I imagined them to be in the movie version. I am excited to watch this movie on Friday, November 26. Too glad that the US release is the same day as in the Philippines. The official website of the movie is http://www.twilightthemovie.com/

As I watched the trailer, all the scenes in the books that made me smile are like reality flooding my mind. It seems very very real now.  And for this, I admire Stephenie Meyer not just as a writer but also in the way she was able to protect the story’s integrity. I have admired a long list of writers only to loose interest once a movie interpretation had been shown.

I hope this movie will not dampen my spirits and will make the pictures in my mind as real as it is now.
