Pho24, Vietnamese Noodles

What makes office lunches a time well spent? For working people like me, this is an hour to rush… Does it seem enough to enjoy?  Sometimes it’s not just the food that makes up this sixty minutes of break from tons of work load but also the people whom I spent it with. So for today why not have the best of both worlds right?  Have a good meal and spend it with a dear friend. Cecil invited me to Pho24 Vietnamese Noodles in Power Plant Mall, Rockwell and it was such a good discovery.

It has been a long time since I had Vietnamese dishes. At first I was thinking, “Oh well, what should I expect but spring rolls and togue (bean sprouts)… just like expecting siew mai or siomai in Chinese restaurants, maki or sushi in Japanese restaurants, or pasta and pizza and Italian restaurants.”  True enough there are togue and spring rolls, but they were not just togue and spring rolls.  This particular dining experience in Pho24 has given me a good impression of Vietnamese dishes.  It was more than just a Pho, which is thinly sliced meat in noodles soup or fancy spring rolls in rice wrappers.

Onion, Basil, Parsley, Chili, Bean Sprouts, Lemon Wedge
